WELCOME
The focus of my work is to help individuals to build their self-esteem, and to develop a learning strategy that uses their individual areas of strength to support areas they find more challenging.
I assess and tutor individuals of all ages with maths difficulties.
I assess school-age learners with literacy difficulties.
I usually work from our base in Pinner, or online via Zoom.
I will travel to student's schools for assessments throughout London and the home counties.
Qualifications and Certificates
I am professionally qualified to assess and diagnose dyscalculia and dyslexia. My assessments and reports comply with the latest SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) guidance.
In addition to keeping up with the latest developments,
I hold the following:

Level 7 SpLD Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (dyslexia)
Level 5 Certificate in Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties
SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)

Membership of the Dyslexia Guild
Associate Membership of the BDA (AMBDA)
I hold a full current DBS (formally CRB) check and Professional Indemnity Insurance
Professional Membership of PATOSS
My continuing professional development is verified by PATOSS every 3 years. I also have to reapply for my Assessment Practicing Certificate every 3 years, which guarantees the quality of my work.
Specialist Teaching
My talent is in creating a special rapport with my students. I build a relaxed, positive atmosphere which builds confidence and enables students to reach their full potential.
Unlike conventional tuition, I have expertise in teaching the specific skills students with maths and literacy difficulties need to progress, and my work is underpinned by up-to-date research.

Consulting
I can provide a bespoke package for your school, so that you can best support your dyslexic and dyscalculic students. Please call me to discuss your individual needs.
I can provide informative and practical training for teachers on how to identify specific learning difficulties within the classroom, the difficulties that such students encounter and how to implement up-to-date evidence-based strategies to support students.
